From the recording Sirens and Pipers

The words you've heard and the thoughts you've had
And the memories etched on your mind
The day is black and the night is dim
And the future seems so out of time

In another world we would live
Like the writers of forgotten rhymes
And painted onto my vision of you
A wondrous indelible design

The dreams we neglect and the laughter let lie
As time slips through our fingers
If only I knew I'd tell it to you
And we'd turn everyone into believers

But what's unsung has reason
A word in the ultimate line
And one never knows how the story will close
In the pages of the book of time
